|Middle School Science Teacher||Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks Bachelor’s or Master’s degree teacher certified in Middle School Science. Degrees/Certifications in Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education,and/or ESL is a preferred credential. Familiarity with Louisiana Student Standards, LEAP Assessment, NGSS, and Online Assessments is an asset. |Bursar/Accounting clerk||Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (KDHSA) is seeking a Full-time Bursar/Accounting clerk for our three Kenner campuses. KDHSA is a large A rated Pre-K through 10th grade Charter School (Pre-K through 12th in two years) with a student population of approximately 1200. The Bursar will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and adjusting the Activity Funds Procedures. The Bursar will be responsible for accounting and monitoring all activity funds and reporting regularly to the CFO and the activity moderators (teachers, coaches, volunteers, etc.). The Bursar will be the primary person responsible for collection and daily depositing of receipts. The Bursar will be required to train all persons involved in collection of funds in procedures as well as assisting the CFO in updating these procedures as required. Additional responsibilities will include collection of fees both current and delinquent. The Bursar will also be responsible for coordinating fees related to field trips and ensuring compliance with the related School regulations. The Bursar will also be required to assist in the Business Office as needed when time permits. |
|Middle School SPED Co-Teacher||Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks a special education co-teacher with a job-related Associate or Bachelor’s degree. This individual will partner with the special education lead teacher in the general and special education class setting supporting children with special needs. The needs of these students in grades 6th-8th include academic and social issues related to hearing loss, vision loss, autism, health impairments, language disorders, or cognitive weaknesses. Experience with delivering a variety of accommodations in multiple settings is an asset. Ability to collaborate with various teachers and school leaders and to be a strong advocate for student needs is required. School-related experience is desired.|

|High School Special Education Teacher||Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks a Special Education Teacher with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education. High School certification in Mathematics is an asset. Reading Specialist and/or ESL certification is a plus; 1-5+ years’ experience of diagnostics, SPED teaching, IEP development and implementation. Knowledge of RTI, BIP, and current legal policy in regard to SPED is essential. Ability to collaborate with various teachers, parents, and school leaders to be a strong advocate for students needed. Knowledge of EOC testing, ACT/SAT prep, and Louisiana State Standards preferred. Certification or interest in achieving certification in multiple areas a plus. A strong candidate will have an interest and ability to support one or more extra-curricular club or sport outside of the regular school day. Position available August 2017. |

|Substitute Teachers||Substitute teachers assist with classroom activities and student development on a temporary basis as needed. We conduct a substitute orientation quarterly for all new substitutes not in our system. |
