The 5th & 6th grade boys basketball team ended the season on top of their game as Metro Middle School League Champions! On February 2, 2017, the Swamp Owls defeated Audubon Charter with a 34-26 victory. Lead by coaches Peter Barnitz and Kyle Olasin, the team was able to take home their first championship title after a hard fought season. The basketball team championship season was one for the record books at 5-2. This marks the third straight championship win for the 2016-17 Kenner Discovery athletics program.
