Discovery Families, We are excited to present the 2019-20 Discovery Student Spirit Shirt. This year’s illustration and design was created by Kelly Casey and Phillip Spence, two members of our Art Department. The PTO will be selling these shirts as the main fundraiser for the Parent Organization. The PTO uses its funds to support a variety of school events, teacher appreciation events, and the Teacher Mini-Grant Program. The teacher mini-grant program funds teacher professional development, non-consumable classroom resources, and other innovative teacher projects. This is the OFFICIAL and ONLY Spirit Shirt that can be worn on all EARLY DISMISSAL days on ALL CAMPUSES. Other school Spirit Shirts and Athletic Spirit Shirts can be worn on selected days as designated by Principals or PBIS. By supporting this shop, you are supporting Kenner Discovery. This is the only shop to get official Kenner Discovery branded gear. All items are shipped directly to YOU, not the school. DEADLINE: THIS SUNDAY THE 15th - Last day to get the FREE shipping for your student portrait orders. *How to Order Your Student Picture Packet* You may go online to barberitophotographers.com and view/order your child’s portrait using the code on the proof card that was recently sent home. All portrait orders will be mailed to home. Orders placed prior to September 15th will eligible for Free Shipping. If you prefer not to use the computer system for ordering, please contact Barberito Photographers Inc. at 504-455-6818 and place orders over the phone. If the proof card gets misplaced, please call Barberito Photographers’ office and you will be provided the code over the phone. If a student did not take an original/initial picture, then he/she will take a portrait on October 7th. Retakes will occur at all 4 campuses on this day. Additional information to come.

SAINTS BLACK and GOLD DAY! Monday, September 9th, 2019, lower school and middle school students at Maine Campus and staff will have the opportunity to show support for the New Orleans Saints for their game against the Houston Texans. The funds collected will be used to support our school's positive behavior intervention and supports (PBIS) program. Students who donate $1, are allowed to wear a Saints jersey or a black and gold Saints shirt along with normal uniform bottoms and normal uniform shoes.
