Senior and founding student, Spencer Newton was named the New Orleans Saints Enterprise Scholar Athlete of the Week! Spencer was recognized with a $500 scholarship at the September 10th Saints home game for his accomplishments in the classroom and on the field.
Spencer was nominated by the football coaching staff for his performance as a linebacker on the Swamp Owl Football team. Spencer has been a starter for 3 years and a two-year captain, all while maintaining a 3.7 GPA. Spencer is a multi-sport athlete and in addition to Football, he plays Varsity Soccer and Varsity Track and Field. Spencer is also a mentor in the Freshmen Academy Mentor (FAM) program at Kenner Discovery.
