Students from Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy High School participated in the Louisiana District Literary Rally on February 4, 2023, at Southeastern Louisiana University. They joined students from 7-12th grades, from both private and public institutions, to compete in several of the 46 Literary Events available, including open events.
\r\nHigh School Rally is a Louisiana academic tradition that began as early as 1909 at LSU. It has since evolved into the Louisiana High School Rally Association which offers ten district rallies, and a single State Rally hosted at LSU.
\r\nSoutheastern Louisiana University hosted the District Literary Rally on their campus, in support of encouraging academic achievement. In addition to being able to qualify for the Louisiana State Rally Competition, which will be held on March 4, 2023, at Louisiana State University, the students were also competing for Southeastern's Freshman Scholastic Achievement Awards. These scholarships were made available to encourage participation in the rally and to stimulate interest among outstanding students to explore opportunities offered by Southeastern's academic programs.
