Kenner Discovery and Dr. John Ochsner Discovery hosted its first joint PTO (Parent/Teacher Organization) meeting of the school year on Tuesday, September 12th.
Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee-Sheng was the guest speaker. Parents and teachers learned about various initiatives in Jefferson Parish that will benefit families. The new developments include updates in the Parks and Recreational department and infrastructure improvements. Dr. Glaser also spoke and mentioned the new Discovery Arts & Athletics Performance Center construction will be complete in April of 2024! The PTO Board discussed many upcoming events and ways parents can become involved.
The PTO invites all parents to join for only $10 per family!
