Discovery Schools is proud to announce the rebranding of its innovative, hybrid virtual learning model from Discovery Fusion to DiscoveryFlex, a name that better reflects its flexible, forward-thinking approach to public education in Louisiana.
DiscoveryFlex is a tuition-free hybrid virtual education model that blends online instruction with on-campus support. Launched in 2024, the program exceeded enrollment expectations and quickly gained a reputation for meeting students where they are — academically, emotionally, and logistically.
While the name “Fusion” spoke to the blend of virtual and in-person learning, the team at Discovery realized it didn’t fully express the benefit of that blend. Flex, on the other hand, communicates empowerment, adaptability, and opportunity — all core values of Discovery’s mission. This refreshed identity and stronger message matches the momentum that’s already building around this program.
“The word Flex just fits,” says Sharon Preen, CEO/Head of School. “It captures what our families love most about the program — the flexibility to learn from home, the option to get help in person, and the ability to build an education around the needs of the child.”
While the name is changing, the model is not. DiscoveryFlex will continue to offer:
High-quality online instruction aligned with state standards, delivered by Discovery teachers.
Optional in-person support available on campus for academic assistance.
A strong school culture with the opportunity to join clubs and attend community events.
A program in the Discovery Schools network, known for its innovative curriculum, core values, and academic excellence.
Personalized feedback and support from teachers.
All Louisiana residents are eligible to apply. To explore enrollment opportunities or get more information about DiscoveryFlex, visit www.DiscoveryFlex.org.
