Early Dismissal Reminder - Wednesday, 5/16/2018 KDHSA Families, This message serves as a reminder we have early dismissal at the the Rivertown, Maine, and Vintage Campuses Wednesday, May 16, 2018). Students will be dismissed as follows: 2:00pm - PreK/K Rivertown Campus and Vintage Campus 2:10pm - All Maine Campus students from usual pick up points Community Works after school enrichment will be provided for students who have signed up. Supplies Needed for STEAM Fest! Parents, if you have a tent that we can use for STEAM Fest on the Maine Campus, please drop it off today, or tomorrow so that we can have it set up for Friday, May 11th! You can leave it in the teacher workroom near the front office. Please check with Mrs. Rachelle or Mrs. Debbie in the front office first. Also...reminder...students can dress down Friday, May 11th for $2.

Maine campus will release at 2:10 and Vintage campus will release at 2:00. Community Works aftercare will be available for our regular aftercare students, only those who are registered. As you know, the Kenner Discovery Bash is taking place that evening.The Bash is the most important annual fundraising event. It helps raise money to support curriculum, technology, athletics, facility, professional development, and our new facility which is coming soon. Many of our teachers and staff help set up and work the event. With this in mind, we want to give all faculty and staff time to get ready to attend the Bash. We hope that you also attend the Bash and celebrate our community, your partnership with us and your children’s accomplishments. We look toward an exciting future with your children! The month of April celebrates the International Day of Dance. In recognition of this, students may dress down on Friday, April 20th. The cost is $2. Proceeds will benefit the Middle School and High School Owlette Dance Teams. Please see the student handbook for dress down guidelines. Thank you for your support

4/13/2018 Dear KDHSA Families: Due to the threat of severe weather tomorrow, which includes straight line winds of up to 75 mph, heavy rainfall, and potential tornadoes, we are canceling the HEALTH FAIR at MAINE CAMPUS. Please look for a follow up communication with the new date for the rescheduled HEALTH FAIR event. Saturday Academy at MAINE CAMPUS is canceled tomorrow. The KDHSA Administration will send information with new dates for the rescheduled Saturday Academy. We apologize for any inconvenience. UPDATE! High School Testing Volunteers Needed: LEAP/EOC Testing is just around the corner! We will need the help of our wonderful volunteers to assist with hall monitoring as our 3rd - 10th graders test, test, test! The Hall Monitor assists test instructors with obtaining needed supplies, relaying concerns during testing to administrators, and ensuring the hallways remain silent while students are testing. Volunteers are needed certain Mondays - Fridays from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Please see the sign up options available in the link below.
