KDHSA Volleyball Tryouts
KDHSA will host the last day of volleyball tryouts for girls in grades 5-10, tomorrow, Tuesday July 25th. Tryouts will be held from 4:30 - 6 pm at the Muss Bertolino Gym, 600 W Esplanade Ave, Kenner, LA. All athletes should wear tennis shoes, comfortable clothing, and bring water. Kenner Disocvery is looking for a MS Spanish Teacher!
Middle School Spanish Teacher 6th-8th/ESL Support Teacher-Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks Bachelor’s or Master’s degree teacher certified in Spanish Education.Certification in Elementary Education and/or Secondary Education is desirable. 1-5 years+ experience with children in a school setting. ESL certification or a willingness to obtain an ESL certification is required. Familiarity with Louisiana State Standards and LEAP Assessments is an asset. Knowledge of ELDA Test Administration, State/District ESL requirements, and best practices in ESL instruction is desirable. Interest in leading extracurricular student activities is a plus. There are two bins located in the foyer at Maine Ave for donations. If you would like to purchase additional school supplies to help families in need or to help for projects throughout the year, please place items in the bin. In addition, there is a bin for uniform donations. This year we will not be holding a used uniform sale, but accepting donated items for those students in need. Please place any donated any uniform items in the bin in the foyer. If you are interested in selling or buying used uniforms, please feel free to join a parent run Facebook group. Please keep in mind that this uniform buy, sell, trade group is not monitored by the school and is run my parents of the school, not by school administration. Details on the closed Facebook page.

KDHSA Music Rehearsals-Summer Session
A summer workshop to help prepare students interested in being in the 2017-2018 KDHSA Band (including drumline) and/or KDHSA Orchestra. Mr.Totora and Mrs.Greer (both KDHSA music directors) will be leading the week long summer rehearsals.
Who Can Participate: 2017-2018 6th-10th graders interested in band or orchestra
*no experience required
When: July 10-14, 2017
Where: Music Room (205)
Band: 8-10 am Orchestra: 11-1 pm
Students will be preparing for next year’s music performances including concerts and parades.

BRIDGES STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO WEAR UNIFORMS. SUMMER SCHOOL STUDENTS MUST WEAR UNIFORMS.
